Dr. Rebecca Graves, associate professor and director of special projects and evaluation in the University of South Alabama College of Nursing, has been elected state liaison for Mississippi through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

The University of South Alabama College of Nursing has received a three-year National Institutes of Health (NIH) award through the National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) to support research led by Sara Davis, PhD, RN, PCNS-BC, associate professor.

The University of South Alabama College of Nursing has been awarded a substantial $3,986,638 federal grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).

The University of South Alabama College of Nursing community mourns the passing of alumna, Mrs. Natalie Rene' Broadus Anusiewicz (BSN' 86), who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, after a six-year battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

The College of Nursing is proud to celebrate Chelsea Cooper, one of our dedicated nursing majors, as the 2025 University of South Alabama Homecoming Queen. Beyond the court, Chelsea maintains an impressive presence as a campus leader while diligently pursuing her degree.

Dr. Bradley Goettl '14 has been named chief nursing officer of the American Nurses Enterprise, where he will help to advance professional practice standards for more than 5 million nurses. For a nurse who began his career serving patients in small, rural areas, it has been quite a journey.
